Keep Cold, Drink Fresh

Gnarly Barley Brewing lists a date code on all of our products, kegs, cans, and bottles.  The date format is MM/DD/YY.  The date listed is the day on which the beer was packaged (aka “packaged-on” date).  Shelf Life is listed in Days from Packaged On Date, at the proper storage temperature of 33-40 ℉ for kegs and 33-50℉ for packaged beer.

Master the Art of Craft Beer Storage

Beer is a perishable product. Degradation of beer is accelerated by heat, light, and oxygen. While hops contribute preservative qualities to beer, the aroma and flavor notes are more fragile in dry hopped beers. Over time, good flavors/aroma diminish and bad flavors can develop. With that being said, all beer should be stored cold, avoid direct light, especially sunlight and fluorescent, and consumed fresh.
